In order to access R1Soft backups from cPanel first you must ensure you have logged in to cPanel directly using the cPanel Username and Password, rather than clicking through from the GURU portal or WHM.
At this point you should be able to access R1Soft backups without further authentication, but if you are prompted for a username and password, this again will be the cPanel username and password for that account.
In the case of Shared hosting the cPanel username and password were provided in your Welcome Email but can be changed via the GURU portal.
If you have reseller hosting you can update the password via WHM > List Accounts > [+] next to the account > Change Password.
