Blogvault Migration

-Inform customer you are starting migration

-app.blogvault.net (usually linked in the ticket)

-click on BACKUPS, then click on the “Backup now” button. (Then click both OK buttons.)

–the next two steps may have been done and noted in the ticket
-create new cpanel account
-create new database for that account
-create new user with permissions on the database
-FTP account will be cpanel user and password
–In the case the cPanel account has already been created by a Reseller, and they have NOT provided the account password, you will need to create a temporary new FTP account – and make sure to delete it at the end of the migration (I usually keep a tab open for just that purpose, otherwise I usually forget).
-COMMENT THE ABOVE ON TICKET IF NOT ALREADY DONE

-click on BACKUPS (if you aren’t already on that screen),
-then click the big number above “BACKUPS”,
-and then click on “Migrate” for the top-most backup – after checking that it’s date/time stamp is the one you just did.

-Click Migrate

-Click on FTPS

-IP is that of the new cpanel account
-Fill in FTP details

-Click Next

-Navigate to wordpress root folder

-Click Continue

-Enter the database details (host is localhost)

-Click Continue

-Wait for migration to complete

-SSH to new server and cd to the wordpress root

-Toggle any cache plugins and test

-Install litespeed plugin and remove blogvault plugin:
wp plugin install litespeed-cache --activate
wp plugin toggle blogvault-real-time-backup
wp plugin delete blogvault-real-time-backup
